About the Author

PIOUS OKORO is a poet, preacher, artist and biologist. He is the author of the poetry collection, Vultures of Fortune (Kraft Ibadan, 2011) and has been widely published in newspapers, news magazine, Times International and literary journals. He won the 1998 Gwendolyn Brooks Poetry Prize Award. He has worked variously as a Biology teacher with the Rivers State School?s Board, Correspondent for Sunray newspapers, and Adjunct professor of Biology with Columbia College, Chicago. He currently works as an educator with the Chicago Public schools, and serves as the pastor of a Chicago based Christian Church. He lives in Chicago, Illinois.
